Personal or Small-scale Catastrophic Events
Fire, flooding, and storm damage

Rapid Assistance when Evacuation is Required
Evacuations ordered ahead of an arriving storm, or ordered due to a critical incident event

Food, uniforms and family needs, temporary lodging, and insurance deductibles
Who is eligible?
- Active duty or retired Sailor or Marine
- Eligible family members with military ID card
- Surviving spouse
- Reservist on extended active duty of 30 days or more

Base-wide evacuations
In the event you are ordered to evacuate, your local NMCRS office will implement disaster evacuation assistance. Funds are provided for gas, lodging and food. No appointment is required, military ID required.

Personal Disaster Recovery
After a disaster, make an appointment with your nearest office. An NMCRS caseworker will help you identify your post disaster needs and provide assistance. You'll learn about local and possible federal resources to help in your recovery.
